Quart Cold Brew Tea

Small batch recipe for making delicious cold brewed teas to quench your thirst during the warmer months. 


What You will Need:

  • 12g Passenger Tea
  • Filtered Water
  • Quart Container
  • Paper Tea Filter
  • String
  • Marker

Brewing Instructions: 

  1. Dose 12g tea into paper tea filter. Tie bag tightly with string as to prevent tea from leaking out.
  2. Fill pitcher with 1qt (946 mL) cold filtered water. 
  3. Place filter in pitcher, being sure the tea is fully saturated before covering and storing away in a cool place, ideally a fridge. 
  4. Label pitcher with the time brewing started and time to decant. Recommended steep times are as follows:

    TEA STYLE

    STEEP TIME

    Green

    8-9 hours

    White

    24-26 hours

    Oolong

    24-26 hours

    Black

    24-30 hours

    Herbal

    28-30 hours

  5. Decant tea accordingly. Store in refrigerator. Serve within 3-5 days.
